Singaporean Girl Charged For Beating Up BF After He Took Indecent Photos Of Her Sleeping
The boy was assaulted by the girl and her friends.
A 16-year-old Singaporean girl was charged in court yesterday, 8 May, for assaulting her ex-boyfriend in August 2018
Sin Chew Daily reported that the assault occurred in a parking lot on Compassvale Street, Singapore on 4 August 2018.
The girl pleaded guilty to two charges of voluntarily causing hurt while two other similar charges have been taken into consideration.
The assault occurred after the 16-year-old found indecent photos of herself sleeping in her boyfriend's phone
The accused was dining with her then 17-year-old boyfriend before they met her friends in a parking lot.
At the scene of the incident, the victim, who is now 18 years old, was asked to hand over his phone to the accused.
According to The New Paper, photos of the 16-year-old sleeping in a sports bra and underwear were discovered in the teenager's phone.
Photos of another girl sleeping in short pants were also found. She was a friend of the accused.
The victim then faced three rounds of beating from the accused and her friends
Sin Chew Daily reported that the teenager was beaten up three times over the span of four hours:
- At 4pm, the accused kicked him in his privates and slapped him four times. Two friends also kicked and punched the victim, causing him to bleed from his nose.
- At 7pm, the accused demanded the victim to fight with four of her male friends one-on-one for a minute each.
- Before 8pm, the accused slapped the victim six times and beat him up again with three of her female friends after finding WhatsApp messages that revealed he was cheating on her.
The victim could not stand on his own after the assaults. His father arrived at the scene 10 minutes later, and a police report was then lodged.
The court has since called for a probation report for the accused
Deputy public prosecutor Jordon Li said the assaults occurred out of a "misguided sense to right a wrong", reported The New Paper.
It was noted that the accused is still young and her actions were not done out of malice.
The judge's ruling on the case will be announced on 20 June.
