Commuters on the Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) were greeted by a highly unusual sight on 3 September: A mysterious white substance resembling snow blanketing the road
According to Harian Metro, the bizarre spillage occurred at KM30.5 eastbound, near Kota Kemuning Ramp A.
Footage of the incident quickly gained traction online, showing the highway heavily coated in an unidentified white liquid.
The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) took to X to address the situation, confirming that the spill had completely obstructed the left lane
This triggered a massive crawl, with traffic reported to be heavily congested by 4.27pm.
Authorities urged all road users to reduce their speed and carefully follow the instructions of personnel stationed at the scene.

Shah Alam district police chief ACP Sarudin Samah said the spill happened just before the truck entered the Kesas highway heading for Klang.
"When the spill happened, firefighters took action by spreading sawdust along the affected stretch to clean up the soap residue," he said in a statement.
"However, heavy rain today (4 September) caused the remaining soap residue to produce foam along about 500m of the highway," he added.
