SPAD survey results show 76.4% prefer Uber and GrabCar to taxis
In an ongoing survey conducted by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), 76.4% of the respondents say they are more comfortable using app-based services such as Uber or GrabCar.

themalaysianinsider.com26 November: In a bid to garner public opinion on ride-sharing services and the taxi industry, the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) has drafted a survey asking takers what they think about taxis and ridesharing.
The online Government survey on Uber, GrabCar and Malaysia's taxis will be open to the public.

Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) is currently working on improving the taxi industry in Malaysia and believes that public opinion is absolutely key in formulating a more holistic solution. This survey will not take more than 2 to 3 minutes to complete.
"The survey was a reality check to gauge public sentiment. We want feedback, as we gear to introduce the way forward," a SPAD spokesman said.
