Last week, it was announced that someone from Penang has won Malaysia's biggest Jackpot of RM69,637,527

However, except the winner's set numbers and that the winning ticket was sold at Tanjong Tokong nothing else was known about the actual winner.

This week, multiple local media outlets quoted the winner, who is 40 years old and is a businessman in Penang

"We were so excited that we could not stop screaming and running around the house," The Star Online quoted the winner as saying.

The 40-year-old winner, who collected his winnings two days after the results were announced, however, wishes to remain anonymous.

The winner said that he only spent RM50 for 25 sets of Lucky Pick numbers for only one draw to win the jackpot

According to a report in NST Online, the winner had started playing Sports Toto games four years ago. He would bet using his car plate numbers but never won anything.

"On Wednesday evening, I was stuck in a traffic jam while I was on my way to dinner. So when I decided to take a detour, I spotted a Sports Toto outlet and thought should try my luck, since all my friends were talking about the largest Toto jackpot.

"It was my first time playing the Lotto game, and brought an RM50 Lucky Pick on Grand Toto 6/63," the winner was quoted as saying by NST Online.

He said that he could not check the result on that night, and was alerted by a friend the next morning that someone from Penang had hit the jackpot. However, it slipped off his mind.

"I went for my breakfast and started working at home," he told NST Online.

A while later, when the jackpot alert crossed his mind, he went through the tickets.

"When I saw a ticket matching the last two numbers of the result, which were 52 and 53, I was pretty sure that I’d won. So I told my younger brother to check the rest of the numbers for me and I was right! I had struck the jackpot," the lucky winner added.

How would he spend his over RM69 million jackpot?

NST Online quoted him saying that he would donate a portion of the winnings to charitable organisations, pay off loans as well as invest in properties.
