These Chinese School Students Had To Sign A Form Promising To Score 8As In UPSR
"I hereby pledge that I'll study hard, give all I can, and do my best to score 8As in the UPSR exam."
It's common for education institutions to hold pep talks for students prior to any major exams, but a local Chinese primary school may have taken its motivation game a step too far
To ensure flying colours in the upcoming UPSR, said school had students pledge to score at least 8As in the exam that's set to take place in September
Chinese daily China Press reported of a viral video that's been making rounds on social media yesterday, 22 February.
The clip shows a group of students congregating in a hall of an unnamed Chinese primary school in Selangor, with their right hand raised as they recite a pledge to perform at their best for the UPSR examination.
A teacher could be heard leading the group in the pledge while parents sat and witnessed the entire event.
Shortly after, the students were asked to sign a pledge form as testament to score 8As in the national exam
The pledge form (above) translated:
"I hereby pledge that I'll study hard, give all I can, and do my best to score 8As in the UPSR exam."
That's not all. Parents had to sign on the same form and promised that they will tutor and guide their children in the pursuit of a perfect score.
