Yes, That's Tony Fernandes Vacuuming The Inside Of An AirAsia Plane
True leadership in action.
Tony Fernandes, the charismatic CEO of budget airline AirAsia, is widely known for his down-to-earth persona and genuine care for his employees a.k.a "Allstars", as he fondly calls them
Fernandes practices the “walk-around” management style - he believes in working together with his employees.
According to BBC, it's common practice for Fernandes to work with workers in different departments. He says he's learned a lot from working on the airline himself.
"If you sit up in your ivory tower and just look at financial reports, you're going to make some big mistakes," he told the BBC back in 2010.
Fast forward to 2017, it appears that Fernandes still holds true to his motto. A recent Twitter clip shows him taking up the job of a housekeeping crew member:
Aziz Laikar, who is AirAsia's Head of Communications posted the 23-second video on his profile yesterday, 20 March.
"One extra crew on board flight AK6306 to Langkawi. Well done on keeping it super clean," the caption reads.
Fernandes could be seen vacuuming the inside of the plane in his trademark jeans and cap, making sure that everything is squeaky clean
