Tony Fernandes Spent Over RM13 Million On Chopard Watches For AirAsia Employees
He said it was "worth every penny". :)
Prepare to have your jaws dropped, fellas.
AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes recently gifted over 1,000 Chopard watches to employees who've been with the airline for a decade!
Fernandes revealed that the cost of the Swiss-made watches totalled up to USD3 million, which is about RM13.27 million! However, he said that it was "worth every penny".
"We are nothing without our All Stars. Was a joy to see how happy they were," he wrote.
Among the AirAsia staff members who received one of the luxury watches are the airline's first batch of cadet pilots who are now captains as well as cabin crew members, guest service agents, store boys, and accounting clerks.
The airline, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, has also recently won two awards at this year's World Travel Awards - World's Leading Low-Cost Airline for the fourth time and World's Leading Inflight Service
