mob.com.myThe two pictures posted on the men’s Facebook page were shared and had gone viral on the social media. The duo could now land in trouble, as netizens had reported their act to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Cruelty to animals is an offfence. According to paragraphs 44(1) (a) to (g), Act 647, a person commits an offence of cruelty to animal if he/she cruelly beats, kicks, ill-treats, overrides, overdrives, overloads, tortures, infuriates or terrifies any animal.

Ng hopes harsher penalties will be set for charges against animal cruelty, as the current law did not deter people from committing such offences.
