A woman believed to be driving in a drunken state crashed into two motorcyclists before fleeing from the scene in Ampang, Selangor on Monday night, 15 March

According to Harian Metro, the incident occurred at 12.40am in Taman Bukit Mulia, Bukit Antarabangsa.

"The driver collided into and damaged two motorcycles, a Harley-Davidson and a Yamaha Avantis," said Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak.

"The two motorcyclists asked the woman to lodge a police report right after the accident but she quickly drove away."

A video showing the motorcyclists confronting the woman about the accident has since gone viral on social media

The one-minute video showed the woman visibly under influence and acting aggressive as they spoke to her.

The men calmly explained about the crash and asked her to follow them to the police station to make a report. However, she did not seem aware of the situation and denied it.

"What police? Crash what? What motor?" she shouted angrily at them.

She then started to cry out "Alhamdulillah" and admitted to the riders that she "drank a bit" before speeding away.

According to the Ampang Jaya chief, the police have successfully identified the 52-year-old woman and are going to make an arrest

"Members of public with information on the case are requested to come forward to the Ampang Jaya Traffic Police Station," Mohamad Farouk said.

Meanwhile, he added that no injuries were reported and that an estimate of the damages has yet to be confirmed.
