[VIDEO] Midnight Brawl Breaks Out Between PN And PH Supporters In Kedah
Supporters used their coalition flags to attack one another.
A fight broke out between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) supporters at Sungai Petani, Kedah, around midnight on Sunday, 20 November
According to Sin Chew Daily, chaos ensued at Dataran Zero, where supporters of both coalitions began yelling at one another until the altercation escalated into a physical fight.
Some individuals were seen getting into fistfights, while others were mostly using their coalition flags to attack one another.
Vehicles parked in the area were also not safe from the blows of angry political rioters.
The Kuala Muda district police station received a report about the brawl at approximately 2.15am today and dispatched three Light Strike Force (LSF) units to the scene
According to Free Malaysia Today, the units immediately subdued the unruly crowd and managed to have the situation under control by 2.50am.
Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Zaidy Che Hassan released a statement, saying that the police have opened an investigation under Section 147 of the Penal Code for undue influence and rioting, which carries a maximum jail sentence of two years, or a fine, or both, if any party is found guilty.
