A video of a motorcyclist crashing into a traffic police officer recently went viral on social media
The 28-second clip was obtained from the dashcam of a car stuck in traffic.
According to Sinar Harian, the incident took place on Thursday, 28 October, on the Shah Alam Expressway.
In the video, the motorcyclist can be seen trying to switch lanes before accidentally crashing into the police officer
The police officer decided not to lodge an official report over the incident out of sympathy for the motorcyclist
Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Abd Khalid Othman told Sinar Harian, "Both of the individuals did not sustain injuries and there was no damage to the vehicles."
"The traffic officer did not file a police report over the accident and continued carrying out his duty at the location instead," he added.
When the video went viral, netizens voiced their worries regarding the safety of the police officer.
Abd Khalid said that his team was very thankful to the community for showing concern over the incident.
