[VIDEO] Penang Mall's 3rd Floor Ceiling Comes Crashing Down Amidst Heavy Rain

Last night, 14 February, heavy rain caused the third floor of Queensbay Mall to be flooded after part of its ceiling came crashing down

While no one was injured in the incident, photos and video footage, which have gone viral on social media, showed the collapsed ceiling with mall patrons trying to avoid slipping on the flooded floor.

According to a statement posted on the mall's Facebook page, the management shared that parts of the mall were flooded, affecting several stores in the South Zone of the third floor.

One of the videos posted on TikTok showed the ceiling collapsing amidst the water pressure.

The mall management said the affected areas have since been cleaned up and all tenants are open for business today, 15 February

"Please be advised that one section of the third floor is currently cordoned off for maintenance work. Thank you for your patience and support," read the statement.
