A white Proton Saga is then seen pulling over at the side of the road.
The driver comes out and holds his hand up to signal to oncoming motorists on the busy highway that he is about to cross, before running over to pick up the stray object.
He carefully makes his way back to the side of the road, disposing the metal railing out of the way of oncoming traffic.
Xidi shared that he witnessed the whole incident while he was at an overhead bridge restaurant on the North-South Expressway in Sungai Buloh on Sunday afternoon.
Malaysians flooded the comment section with thanks and praise for the kind soul who sacrificed his own safety for that of others

Another user said, "Kudos! Although it was scary to watch him risk his life for other drivers. Thank you, brother."
This netizen declared him an unsung hero and gave him a salute.
Meanwhile, a user warned that although the act was noble, it was still dangerous and the matter should have been reported to PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) instead.
"It's too dangerous. I always report when things like this happen or if there's a car that has broken down."
