KOTA KINABALU: A video of a street fight allegedly between locals and foreigners in Sabah’s interior Keningau town is causing a stir.

Keningau district deputy police chief Assist Supt Awang Amit said the fight was sparked when the suspect allegedly got angry with four friends having a drink outside a karaoke centre near the fish market at about 3pm on Sunday.
thestar.com.my“Initial reports suggest that the suspect got angry with the group when he saw them with the girls (from the karaoke centre) and hit one of them outside the place,” he said. The four then chased the man only to encounter a group of armed men waiting near the market not far away, he added.

Cyril had been with the group in a karoake shop here near Public Market since 3pm that day drinking alcohol with four invited women, he said.

Cyril then together with Analem and Manayoh chased the suspected man, who ran towards the Public Market. Police confirmed Tuesday that a 34-year-old foreigner had been arrested in connection with the incident that left three men injured. ASP Awang said police are looking for the other individuals involved in the incident and believe all of them are working at the market.
