You Can Walk In To 4 PPVs In Klang Valley For Your Booster Jab Starting 27 January

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said this walk-in initiative is aimed at ramping up intake against the Omicron wave.

Adults aged 18 and above who have not taken their booster shots will be able to walk in to four vaccination centres (PPVs) in Klang Valley beginning today, 27 January

The PPVs that are now taking in walk-ins are at the:
– Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (KLWTC),
– Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil,
– Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam, and
– Soka Gakkai Malaysia Culture Centre in Klang.

The vaccine brand offered at these integrated PPVs are AstraZeneca

However, Pfizer vaccines will also be available for certain individuals, such as pregnant women and those who are contraindicated from taking AstraZeneca.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said this walk-in initiative is aimed at ramping up booster dose intake to ensure optimal protection against COVID-19, especially against Omicron, among the population

In a tweet, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the Omicron wave has begun in Malaysia.

He said the number of daily COVID-19 cases in the country will continue to rise, but the variant spread is under control due to the country's high vaccination rate.

"The healthcare system has been put on standby. Serious cases are declining. Let's defeat this wave together. Mask up," he added.

As of 25 January, 11,119,363 or 47.5% of Malaysian adults aged 18 and above have received their booster doses.
