A 27-year-old hiker celebrated her 10,000th day on Earth by scaling China's Five Great Mountains in five days
Peng, a mountain-climbing enthusiast from Guizhou, China, went viral for her feat.
According to South China Morning Post, her gruelling schedule took her across five different provinces, where she hiked during the day and slept on cross-country trains at night.

Between 23 and 28 September, Peng scaled peaks in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Shandong, Henan, and Hunan, clocking up to 39,000 steps a day
She relied on a tracking app called Liang Bu Lu to check in at designated spots, spending four to nine hours hiking each mountain.
While she hiked up every trail, she allowed herself the brief luxury of taking a cable car down Mount Hua and Mount Heng in Hunan province.

The entire multi-province expedition cost her just 4,000 yuan (RM2,440), fitting the 'special troop style' budget travel trend popular among young Chinese tourists
Despite losing 0.5kg and experiencing initial anxiety, Peng said she recovered quickly without any lasting muscle fatigue.
The hiker credited kind strangers with helping her through the gruelling challenge.
"Don't be afraid to start alone. You will meet some good-hearted fellow travellers," Peng was quoted as saying.

She cautioned others against blindly taking on the demanding itinerary
"You should take your own physical condition into consideration and prioritise your safety when doing outdoor activities," Peng said.
Her intense adventure captivated social media in mainland China, earning her widespread praise.
