A Kuala Lumpur woman and her boyfriend suffered a traumatic experience after travelling to Johor for a part-time modelling job offer

According to Bernama, the 23-year-old woman had received a RM3,000 modelling job offer in Johor via Facebook.

She then travelled there together with her 20-year-old boyfriend in their friend's Perodua Myvi on Monday, 23 December.

Following prior arrangements, the woman and her boyfriend picked up the man offering the job in Pontian before heading to Lima Kedai

According to New Straits Times, they reached a dead end road in Lima Kedai after following the man's directions, who then pulled out a machete, forcing the boyfriend into the car boot.

"As they reached a dead end road near Lima Kedai, the suspect suddenly pulled out a long machete from the back of the car and placed it on the neck of the boyfriend and forced him into the car boot compartment," Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said in a satement, as quoted by Bernama.

The suspect proceeded to sexually assault the woman while recording the incident on his phone

He then drove to an oil palm plantation and abandoned both the victims by the road side, threatening the woman that he would leak the video should she alert the police.

However, Dzulkhairi said that the couple later lodged a police report, adding that on top of their emotional distress, the victims lost about RM60,000, including their friend's Myvi.
