Being your child's superhero can start with something as practical as planning for their future

Through Bulan Menabung Simpan SSPN (BMS) 2026, PTPTN is encouraging parents to build a savings habit early to help prepare for their children's higher education and reduce reliance on education loans.
Running from 25 September to 1 November 2026, the annual initiative is now in its ninth year, and is held in conjunction with World Savings Day on 31 October.
The national launch of BMS 2026 was held on 26 September at Central i-City Mall, Shah Alam, Selangor, and officiated by PTPTN Chairman, Dato' Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim.
This year's BMS 2026 carries the theme 'Under The Sea' and the tagline Jom Jadi Superhero Anak Anda
The underwater concept represents the journey of building saving habits, planning finances, and working towards children's education goals. Just as an adventure requires preparation, planning for a child's education can also begin early, giving parents more time to prepare for their future education needs.
Through BMS 2026, PTPTN is also encouraging families to consider saving early for higher education instead of relying solely on loans.
The initiative aims to strengthen the savings culture while reducing dependence on loans, and potentially easing the financial burden on children after they graduate.
As an education savings product, Simpan SSPN comes with several benefits for Malaysians

These include income tax relief on savings of up to RM8,000 a year, free takaful protection for depositors, a Matching Grant of up to RM10,000 for eligible families, competitive dividend rates, government-guaranteed savings, and Shariah-compliant savings.
As of 31 August 2026, Simpan SSPN had recorded RM25.86 billion in deposits across 7.66 million accounts. For BMS 2026, PTPTN is targeting RM250 million in Simpan SSPN deposits throughout the programme.
At the state level, BMS 2026 was held at Mydin Bukit Mertajam, Penang, on 3 October, alongside similar celebrations at selected locations across 12 states nationwide.
Plus, there will be lots of activities for parents and children to enjoy

BMS 2026 also features various activities for parents, and children, including the Colouring Competition, Simpan SSPN Got Talent, Fancy Dress Competition, Simpan SSPN Action Song Competition, Happy Hour, and PTPTN E-Sports Challenge, among others.
Visitors to PTPTN counters can also stand a chance to receive exclusive BMS 2026 merchandise through savings with Simpan SSPN.
The programme also includes various campaigns, and promotions to further encourage saving, including the Cabutan WOW! Simpan SSPN 2026 Campaign.
With BMS 2026 running until 1 November, PTPTN hopes the initiative will encourage more families to start planning and saving for their children's higher education early!
After all, being your child's superhero is not only about supporting them today, but also preparing for the education opportunities they may pursue in the future.
And if you want to join in on the BMS 2026 celebrations, the closing ceremony will take place from 29 October to 1 November at Center Court, Alamanda Shopping Mall, Putrajaya.
