1. Pickleball Rebound Trainer

A pickleball rebound trainer gives you a target to hit against, letting you practise your forehand and backhand repeatedly without needing someone to return the ball.

Stand a few steps away and alternate between forehand and backhand shots, focusing on keeping your swings controlled and consistent.

2. Pickleball Dink Pad

Dinking is all about control, making a pickleball practice board or rebounder useful for practising softer shots.

Try hitting the ball against the board with a controlled swing, aiming to keep each return at a consistent height. It is a simple way to work on your touch when you're away from the court.

3. Agility Ladder

Good footwork can make a big difference during a game. An agility ladder lets you practise quick steps, lateral movement and changing direction in a small space.

Try moving through the ladder with quick feet, then repeat the drill while moving from side to side. Keep your movements controlled rather than simply trying to go as fast as possible.

4. Reaction Ball

Pickleball can involve some seriously quick exchanges, so reaction training can be useful. A reaction ball bounces unpredictably, forcing you to react and adjust quickly.

Bounce it against a wall and try catching it after one bounce, or use your paddle to gently return it. Start slowly before increasing the speed.

5. Silent/Indoor Pickleball Training Balls

If you have enough space indoors or outdoors, foam or low-impact training balls can be useful for controlled practice without the feel of a regular hard pickleball.

Try simple taps, alternating forehand and backhand touches, or controlled wall returns. The goal is to keep the ball under control while getting comfortable with your paddle.
