1. Explore fun attractions within a 30-minute vicinity of Sepang
The circuit might be the main attraction, but there are plenty of things to do around Sepang once the racing is over.
Motorsport fans can visit the National Automobile Museum at the Sepang International Circuit to check out its collection of classic cars and motorcycles. For something more relaxed, head to Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA for some shopping or Paya Indah Wetlands for a dose of nature.
You could also head towards Bagan Lalang Beach if you'd rather spend the afternoon by the coast.

2. Stay just close enough to the action
Staying around Sepang means you won't have to deal with a long journey back to KL immediately after the race.
For convenience, look around KLIA and Sepang for hotels such as Sama-Sama Hotel KLIA or Mövenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA. If you'd rather turn the trip into a proper holiday, Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort offers a beachfront stay near Bagan Lalang.

3. Head to Putrajaya
Once you've had your fill of F1, make your way to Putrajaya for a change of pace.
Spend the afternoon visiting Putra Mosque, taking in the views around Putrajaya Lake or exploring Taman Botani Putrajaya. If you're travelling with family or friends, IOI City Mall is another easy stop for shopping, food and entertainment.
For a more relaxing way to see the city, you can also hop on a Putrajaya Lake cruise and take in some of its best-known landmarks from the water.

4. Make your way to KL
If you're already travelling to Sepang, you might as well spend another day exploring Kuala Lumpur.
Visit the Petronas Twin Towers, shop around Bukit Bintang, grab some food along Jalan Alor, or browse the stalls at Central Market. You can easily spend a full day exploring the city before heading home.
For international visitors, comparing flights in advance can also help you decide whether it's worth adding a couple more days to your trip.

5. Keep the motorsport buzz going
Still craving some racing action after F1? You don't have to put the motorsport theme behind you once the Grand Prix ends.
