First Dota 2 Major Of 2018/2019 Will Be Held In Malaysia This November
The first leg will kick off in KL!

The month of November will be a spectacular one for you as Malaysia plays host to the first Dota 2 Major for the Dota Pro Circuit 2018/2019 season!
The Kuala Lumpur Major will take place from 16 to 18 November at the Axiata Arena. Supported and backed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the tournament will have a lucrative prize pool of USD1 million (about RM4 million).
Held through a partnership between China's ImbaTV and local TV network eGG Network, the event was launched yesterday, 5 September, with Minister of Youth and Sports Syed Saddiq in attendance
"Malaysia is among the 'Big 6' esports nations in Southeast Asia that account for over 98% of esports enthusiasts in this region. Southeast Asia is the fastest growing region for esports, with the number of esports enthusiasts expected to double to 19.8 million in 2019, from 9.5 million in 2016.
Malaysia has the potential to be the region's esports hub because our youths are passionate about esports," the Muar MP said.
He added that The Kuala Lumpur Major will play a significant role to level the local esports industry with the rest of the world.
16 international teams will be battling it out for the prize pool. Qualifiers are open to teams from all over the world, including Europe and China.
Qualifying rounds begin on 9 November, but they won't be open to the public.
All participants will take some of the prize, with the winner earning USD350,000 (about RM1.4 million), all the way down to the 13th to 16th places taking USD10,000 (about RM41,000)
Ticket prices are priced from RM180 to RM600. Astro and U-Mobile users will have first priority to purchase the tickets, on top of a 20% discount.
