Apple has loosened its App Store restrictions to allow game streaming apps, mini-apps and chatbots

Previously, services like Xbox Cloud Streaming and GeForce Now could only be accessed on iOS via a web browser.

Now, developers can submit a single app with the ability to stream all the games offered in their catalogue.

The new features offer improved visibility and, potentially new sections in the App Store

Apple hasn’t provided specific details, but it is likely to involve promoting apps with chatbots and cloud gaming.

Developers can utilise Apple’s payment system for these features, simplifying the subscription to services. They can also use third-party payment solutions, although Apple still takes a share of the profit.

Apple implemented these changes based on feedback from developers

Apple aims to provide users with a secure environment when discovering apps. The company also plans to equip developers with more tools to enhance their businesses.
