Apple Users, Update To iOS 17.3 To Discourage Thieves From Stealing Your Devices

Apple's latest iOS 17.3 update for iPhones features several important upgrades
This includes upgrades to Apple Music and an improved Crash Detection on iPhone 14 and 15 models, reducing false alarms. The update was rolled out on 23 January.
IOS 17.3 now features Stolen Device Protection, providing an extra layer of security
With this added protection, users will need to use biometric authentication, like Face ID or Touch ID, to do things like access saved passwords, use payment methods, turn off Lost Mode, set up a new device, or erase content.
This authentication is only needed when you are outside familiar places like home and work.
Now, you have to wait about one hour to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID again before making crucial security changes
The delay applies to actions such as:
- Changing your Apple ID password- Signing out of Apple ID
- Updating account security settings
- Adding or removing Face ID or Touch ID
- Resetting settings
- Turning off Find My and Stolen Device Protection
- Changing the passcode
