Bandai has shrunk its iconic '90s virtual pet, the Tamagotchi, into a functional ring device designed to sit right on your finger
Measuring a tiny 28mm x 23mm x 35mm, the Tamagotchi Ring packs a bright colour LCD screen into an ultra-compact body.
Users can feed, play with, and nurture their virtual pets directly from their hand, shifting the nostalgic gadget from keychains straight onto body hardware.
Despite being the world's smallest Tamagotchi, the Japanese toy giant has retained the full original experience.

The mini pet can evolve into more than 30 different characters depending on how well you care for it, with a few secret surprise characters thrown into the mix
The ring debuted in Japan in three sleek colour combinations: Pink & Pearl White featuring an aurora pearl finish, light blue and metallic gold, and black and metallic silver.
Each unit comes with a dedicated charging stand to display the device while powering its rechargeable LiPo battery.

To ensure a comfortable fit, Bandai announced that the ring comes in Japanese sizes 10 and 14, complete with an adjustable spacer inside the box
It also includes a ball chain, allowing owners to easily convert the finger device into a pendant necklace whenever they want.
According to Bandai's website, the Tamagotchi Ring retails for 7,700 Japanese Yen (RM195). Preorders are open from 27 August to 6 October 2026.
The first batch will be shipped in February 2027, while the second will be heading out to consumers in April 2027.
