You'll Have To Fulfil These Criteria To Receive A FREE UniFi Upgrade From TM

Some Unifi users are in for a treat as Telekom Malaysia (TM) is upgrading their subscription plan for free, with no strings attached
A selected number of existing UniFi VIP 5 package subscribers are receiving a free upgrade from TM.
This means that their broadband speed has increased from 5Mbps to 10Mbps.
These selected subscribers were notified of the good news via SMS. It is believed that the upgrade is being offered in stages. Subscribers do not have to do anything to get this upgrade that will be done automatically by TM.
This is a very good news for the selected users, as their Internet will be at a faster speed without them having to fork out extra money!
However, since not everyone is eligible for this special upgrade, some have questioned how TM actually chose these 'lucky customers'.
Unfortunately, they have gotten mixed responses when they got in touch with the TM representatives.

It appears that there were several discrepancies between the replies that the public has received when they got in touch with different TM representatives via various customer service channels.
A Lowyat forum user was told that TM does not set a list of criteria when selecting which customer is eligible for the free upgrade, while another user was told that TM follows a set list of business rules for its selections.
A quick check with TM's official twitter account @TMConnects, however, revealed that the company has indeed set a list of criteria for a user to be eligible for the upgrade
TM has clarified that this free upgrade campaign is an initiative by the national telecommunications provider to reward customers for their trust and long tenure with TM.
Only selected UniFi subscribers who have subscribed to VIP 5 package for more than 30 months, have good payment record with TM, and fulfil other elements for being a loyal TM customer will be considered for the free upgrade.
