With two variants, the HUAWEI Mate50 and HUAWEI Mate50 Pro, these devices garnered high demand since they were first released a few months ago, and have got people lining up since the launch.

I mean, just look at all these people lining up, memang gempak! :O

The phones come in Silver and Black, and also feature HUAWEI's signature Kunlun glass material, a type of reinforced glass used as the smartphone's screen

HUAWEI's engineers took inspiration from reinforced concrete constructions to develop Kunlun glass for the Mate50 series.

To increase the smartphone's glass resistance to drops, HUAWEI imbued a significant number of nanocrystals to create a thick supporting framework. To come up to this decision, HUAWEI first collaborated with a business that specialised in glass.

Then after four years of deep research, the company made a breakthrough in the manufacturing of basic glass by adding a particular metal oxide to create Kunlun glass, which increased the phone's drop resistance by 10 times.

Initially, the Kunlun glass variant only came in Orange, but due to overwhelming popularity, two new colours have been introduced, which are Carbon Black and Silver.

You'll also be able to access native Google apps on the Mate 50! Haaa, excited anot? ;)

Previously, one of the main concerns people would have before getting a HUAWEI device is whether or not they could access Google applications through their device. Fortunately, that is no longer a concern for the Mate50 and other HUAWEI devices.

There’s also a new 'LightHouse' app that was recently made available in Malaysia, allowing you to access Google-specific apps such as Google Maps, Google Meet, Google Drive, and more on a HUAWEI device.

Here's how to get it on your phone:

STEP 1: Look for 'LightHouse' in the HUAWEI AppGallery

STEP 2: Download the app

STEP 3: Go to your HUAWEI phone's settings

STEP 4: Go to 'App' and tap on 'LightHouse'

STEP 5: Press the setting icon on the top right corner

STEP 6: Tap 'Add Account' and key in your Google login details

STEP 7: And you're done! You'll be able to access native Google apps after that with all your Google accounts logged-in into one device.

And you wouldn't have to worry about accessibility, as there's an extensive range of HUAWEI devices that support the app
