Google Meet Can Now Detect When You Raise Your Hand During Virtual Calls
You don't need to press the 'Raise Hand' button anymore.
Google Meet now automatically knows when you raise your hand in real life, so you no longer need to rely on the 'Raise Hand' button
The new hand gesture detection feature on Google Meet uses AI to detect when you raise your hand during a video call.
Here's how to enable Google Meet's Hand Raise Gesture feature:
STEP 1: In the meeting, select 'More Options' and click on 'Settings'
STEP 2: On the left, click on 'Reactions'
STEP 3: Turn on Hand Raise Gesture
The hand-raising gesture is off by default but can be turned on in the settings.
After enabling the Hand Raise Gesture, you need to follow these steps to trigger detection:
STEP 1: Ensure that you're clearly visible to the camera
STEP 2: Keep your hands away from your face and body
STEP 3: Hold up your hand until the detection circle turns green
