Don't say we didn't warn you, this little secret will have you spend hours tapping on your screen
If you're an ailurophile (cat lover), then this little Easter egg is definitely for you
Google has implemented a cute little secret for animal lovers to discover while conducting a Google search.
This little secret will have you spend hours tapping on your screen
Instagram user @jimmiebrenton_ shared a Reel showing a nifty little Easter egg that pops up when you search for 'cat' on Google.
A cat paw appears, tapping on your screen and leaving paw prints everywhere. The secret also comes with the sound of adorable meows, so you might want to have your volume slider all the way up.
Here are the steps to have some wholesome fun:
1. Search 'cat' in the Google Chrome search bar
2. Tap on the orange button with a cat paw icon
3. Then, tap anywhere on the screen
And that's it, you'll have cat paws all over your screen.
Once you are done having fun with the feature, you can resume normal browsing by tapping on the 'X' button at the bottom of your screen.
It also works on your PC browser
In fact, this little cute trick works with other animals as well. For example, if you search for 'dog', the same cute trick will pop up, but featuring a dog's paw instead, allowing dog lovers to have fun of their own.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work with all animals. If you search for wild animals such as lions or capybaras, you'll be presented with an audio of the animal's respective sound instead.
