Jetour Malaysia has expanded its local footprint with the official launch of the all-new Jetour T1 urban SUV

Designed under the brand's Travel+ philosophy, the modern C-segment crossover is aimed at lifestyle-driven motorists seeking a balance of rugged styling, family-friendly practicality, and smart technology.

The new model arrives in two variants: the entry-level 1.5L TGDi 2WD priced at RM129,800, and the range-topping 2.0L TGDi XWD at RM146,800.

The launch comes as Chinese automotive marques continue to expand aggressively across Malaysia

Jetour Auto Malaysia Vice President Nicholas Ng noted that the local SUV segment presents immense opportunities, with drivers demanding vehicles that balance eye-catching design with everyday usability. To support its growing customer base, the brand is backing the T1 with an extensive 43-showroom network nationwide.

Styled with a "curvy utilitarian" aesthetic, the Jetour T1 strikes a middle ground between boxy off-roaders and sleek city crossovers.

Up front, distinctive "Storm-Eye" LED headlamps and a bold grille give the vehicle an assertive road presence, while its 2,800mm wheelbase ensures a spacious interior footprint comparable to popular family SUVs on Malaysian roads.

The body is constructed on a refined monocoque platform, providing car-like ride comfort on paved roads alongside a planted driving feel. Buyers can choose from four exterior colours: Khaki White, Aviation Silver, Sand Gold, and Carbon Black.

Under the bonnet, the two variants offer distinct performance choices tailored for different driving styles

The 1.5L TGDi 2WD variant generates 170PS (125kW) and 270Nm of torque through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering smooth, punchy power that effortlessly handles urban commutes and highway cruising.

For those seeking greater mechanical muscle, the 2.0L TGDi XWD pumps out a potent 245PS (180kW) and 375Nm of torque. Paired with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system, this higher-tier engine provides hot-hatch levels of pulling power, making laden trips up Genting Highlands or slippery rain-soaked highways feel completely effortless.

Inside the cabin, Jetour has tailored the interior features to suit Malaysia's tropical climate and tech-savvy motorists

Both variants feature front ventilated seats — a welcome luxury for hot afternoons — along with a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, a 50W fast wireless charger, and seven USB ports throughout the cabin.

The base model gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display paired with an eight-speaker setup.

Meanwhile, the top-spec XWD variant upgrades the experience with a massive 15.6-inch central display — larger than most laptop screens — alongside a panoramic sunroof, a nine-speaker Sony audio system, and a front passenger power seat with an integrated leg rest.

Safety remains a core selling point for the new SUV

Both variants come standard with six airbags, a 360-degree panoramic camera system, and a full suite of Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) to assist with lane-keeping and emergency braking.

The vehicle also secured a full five-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP with an overall score of 87.67 points, proving its structural integrity and occupant protection capabilities in regional crash testing.

As an added incentive, the first 2,000 buyers to register their T1 will receive an early bird RM2,000 price rebate together with promotional financing rates starting from 1.68%.
