A new searchable database published by The Atlantic reveals that millions of songs, including tracks by legendary Malaysian artistes, have been secretly scraped to train AI models

While many Malaysians may assume this algorithmic piracy only impacts Western pop stars, a searchable tool published by The Atlantic proves otherwise.

The Atlantic's database show that legendary creators like Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Dato' M Nasir, Ziana Zain, and Butterfingers all have dozens of tracks listed in the system

Specifically, the database flags 86 songs from Siti Nurhaliza, 82 from M Nasir, 70 from Ziana Zain, and 54 from Butterfingers.
