According to Deputy Health Minister Lukanisman Awang Sauni, the MySejahtera app will be used as a guide for people to navigate healthcare services, as reported by The Edge Markets.

This also includes identifying those who are eligible for the Madani Medical Scheme initiative announced in Budget 2023. Essentially, the Madani Medical Scheme will help the B40 community have better access to more healthcare facilities.

This move will further strengthen the government's mission to digitalise their health management tools.

Aside from storing vaccination records as it has been doing, the app will be used for surveillance of infectious diseases

These diseases include, but are not limited to: tuberculosis, dengue, measles, and rabies.

Additionally, Bernama reports that Lukanisman stressed that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is committed to making MySejahtera a national public health management tool.
