New "Twitter-Like" App Is Set To Launch On 6 July, And It's Developed By Meta

Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, will soon release their own text-based conversation app on iOS and Android

The app, Threads, is expected to rival Twitter, in terms of both interface and purpose. According to the description of the app, Threads is a place where communities can gather to discuss a wide array of topics, from specific niches to trendy news. 

You can also 'follow' and connect directly with different creators and users or build a loyal following of your own.

The app will also be directly linked to your Instagram account

This means that you can just input your Instagram credentials when using Threads for the first time, and instantly follow your existing contacts who have downloaded the app. 

Some other Twitter-like aspects we can expect from Threads is reposting, liking, and limiting the amount of people who can respond to a post, as reported by The Guardian.

If you're interested, you don't need to wait for much longer as Threads will be launching tomorrow, 6 July
