This Cool Robot Vacuum Comes With An Arm That Picks Up Socks, Shoes And More
The Roborock Saros Z70 will launch this year.
Roborock is taking household cleaning to a new level with the Saros Z70, unveiled at CES 2025
According to engadget, the Saros Z70 is more than just a standard robot vacuum. It features a foldable robotic arm, dubbed "OmniGrip".
It's designed to pick up small items under 300g, like socks, tissues, or even small towels — perfect for homes with kids who leave a trail of clutter.
The OmniGrip arm boasts five-axis movement and uses advanced AI-powered precision sensors, cameras, and LED lights to identify objects it can handle.
The Saros Z70 scans its surroundings during its initial cleaning pass, marking items it can lift, and circles back to pick them up while cleaning underneath
Users can customise the arm's interactions via the Roborock app, which supports recognition of 108 pre-set objects and up to 50 user-defined items.
During a CES demo, the Saros Z70 successfully picked up socks and placed them in a basket.
While the showcased model was a pre-production unit and ran on a programmed route, Roborock claims the final version will be ready for real-world use later this year.
The Roborock Saros Z70 is set to launch in the first half of 2025, simplifying cleaning tasks for busy households
While pricing details remain under wraps, its innovative features suggest this vacuum could be a game-changer for cluttered homes.
Whether it lives up to its promise in everyday use remains to be seen, but Roborock's latest offering hints at a future where tidying up might truly be effortless.
