Apple is gearing up for its first-ever foldable iPhone in 2026, and it looks like a familiar rival is helping them make it
A new tech report said Samsung Display will supply the screens for the upcoming iPhone Fold, a future touchscreen MacBook Pro, and the iPad mini.
According to South Korean outlet ET News, Samsung is set to manufacture 10 million OLED panels for the iPhone Fold and two million display units for the future iPad mini, respectively.
Production timelines for the MacBook Pro and iPhone 18 have also been leaked
The publication reported that panel manufacturing for the touchscreen MacBook Pro is slated to begin in July 2026.
This comes as displays for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have reportedly commenced production.
The report also noted that LG Display would be manufacturing the screens for the upcoming Apple Watch Series 12.
LG is reported to produce 34 million panels for the smartwatch
Meanwhile, Chinese supplier BOE has reportedly been left out of the premium loop entirely. The company will not be producing any screens for the upcoming foldable phone, the touchscreen laptop, or the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
Ultimately, this latest leak confirms that Apple is sticking to its tried-and-true supply chain partners to pull off its next big design evolution.
