PC gamers waiting for Sony's biggest blockbusters on Steam are in for some bad news. Future single-player story titles will now remain strictly exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reported that PlayStation Studios (PS Studios) chief executive officer Hermen Hulst announced a massive strategy shift to his staff.
Moving forward, the company's single-player narrative titles will remain strictly exclusive to PlayStation consoles, meaning future PC ports for these story-driven games are off the table.

This means upcoming titles in massive franchises like Spider-Man, The Last of Us, and Ghost of Tsushima will remain locked to the console ecosystem
However, multiplayer and live-service games, including Helldivers and Marathon, will still make the jump to PC.
According to Schreier, Hulst noted that poor sales for single-player PC ports heavily influenced the decision.
Sony also believes that die-hard fans of these narrative journeys already own a console rather than waiting around for a delayed release
Additionally, Schreier reported that the strategic pivot is Sony's reaction to Xbox returning to an exclusivity model and lingering fears of Valve's Steam Machine eating into future console sales.
