The Sony Xperia Z2 Has Displaced Nokia 808 Pureview As The Best Smartphone For Mobile Photographers
According to tests conducted by DxO Labs, the 20.7MP BSI CMOS sensor is no slouch whatsoever, taking the highest score ever for a mobile device in their camera benchmark.

The Xperia Z2 Scored A 79 Out Of A Possible 100 On The DxOMark Mobile Scale, Beating Nokia's 808, Which Landed A Score Of 77 Out Of 100
Sony's handset, which comes with a 20.7-megapixel camera and the ability to record in 4K video, earned high marks for its "impressive" photo-snapping outdoors and fast autofocus.

Xperia Z2's Overall Score Was Reached By Combining Performance For Both Stills And Moving Video
DxO Labs notes that if the two points totals are separated then the Z2 is only equal to the Nokia 808 in terms of stills photography and third in terms of video, behind the Z1 and the GoPro Hero3 action cam, the current video leader. However, as a combined package it is currently unbeatable.

Speaking On Xperia Z2's Performance, DxO Labs Said:
"In our industry-standard benchmarking tests, the revised Z2 impresses with its colour and detail preservation, both outdoors and in more challenging lighting, and it retains the fast autofocus of the Z1 while improving its precision. Noise levels remain low with none of the objectionable chroma noise found on some rivals; only some fine-grained luminance type noise is noticeable at times."
