A total of 100,000 licences were rolled out in phases starting 16 September 2026, backing the country's push towards the Malaysia Digital 2030 Action Plan

The initiative was introduced as the World Economic Forum estimated that 41% of core skills in Malaysia would change by 2030.

The response was swift, with 12,900 learners enrolling in 43,000 courses across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Pulau Pinang, and Perak in the first three weeks alone.

The top pick so far is 'Understanding Digital Transformation', a two-hour course created by MyDIGITAL Corporation covering cloud computing, AI, blockchain, and 5G.

"Through Rakyat Digital, driven by MyDIGITAL Corporation, the ministry is committed to making AI and digital learning accessible across all segments of society," said Ministry of Digital Secretary-General Datuk Fabian Bigar.
