Malaysia's homegrown news aggregator app, Lumi News has been awarded Silver for Best AI & Digital Tech Products at the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA) d'Awards 2026

The win positions Lumi News as the only news aggregator in the market reinventing Malaysian news through creative AI, and marks a clear step up from the Bronze it earned at the 2023 d'Awards.

Held annually by the Malaysian Digital Association, the d'Awards honours the talents, agencies, brands, publishers, and digital service providers driving excellence across Malaysia's digital media, advertising, technology, and marketing industries.

Lumi News was among the first in Malaysia to introduce AI-generated news summaries, giving readers bite-sized versions of the day's stories so they can stay informed efficiently in less time

That early bet on applied AI has since grown into a suite of features designed around how Malaysians consume news, combining trusted local and international sources with an interface built for speed, discovery, and conversation.

The app brings together over 100 local and international news sources across English, Malay, and Mandarin, and lets readers sort content across various topics of interest from Politics and Business to Lifestyle, Food, Tech, Entertainment, and Sports.
