The Health Ministry (MOH) has introduced a new feature on the MySejahtera app called MyLapor, designed to help Malaysians report smoking and vaping violations

The digital complaint channel allows the public to report offenders who light up in any of the 28 designated non-smoking zones across the country.

These prohibited areas include restaurants, hospitals, airports, and shopping complexes.

Besides reporting those who smoke in restricted areas, users can also report other related offences

Through the platform, the public can file complaints about underage individuals caught smoking or vaping.

The system is part of a broader effort to crack down on various smoking violations and protect public health.

While some may have uninstalled the application after the pandemic, Malaysians are encouraged to keep it on their devices for this purpose.

Here is a quick guide on how you can use the MyLapor feature to lodge a complaint:

  • STEP 1: Open your MySejahtera application and tap on the MyLapor icon located in the shortcuts menu.
  • STEP 2: Tap on the option that says "Submit your concern here" and select the specific smoking or vaping activity you wish to report.

You can also upload a photo of the incident to assist authorities, set the precise location, and then submit your report.
