Following intense backlash over inaccurate routing, the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) had temporarily suspended the app's navigation tool on 22 October 2026. The developers pledged a permanent solution by 6 November 2026.

The latest fix was rolled out early on 30 October 2026 through version 2.0.4. It's unclear whether this is a temporary workaround or a permanent fix.

For iOS users, the app remains unchanged, with its last update dating back to November 2025.

The government previously recommended TuJu over data privacy and security concerns surrounding Waze

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had encouraged the public to use homegrown alternatives to Waze.

However, LLM clarified that the app was only ever intended to serve as a highway companion, providing access to live camera feeds, rest stop locations, and toll updates.
