Acer's new Swift Air 14 is designed for people who want the flexibility to work, study, stream, and stay connected without adding too much weight to their everyday carry.
The Swift Air 14 is built around a slim all-aluminium chassis measuring just 12.99mm
At 1.19kg, the laptop is super easy to carry around, while its 180-degree hinge allows the display to lay flat. The latter can be useful when sharing the screen during discussions or collaborative work, or when you simply want to show something on the display to someone sitting across from you.
Under the hood, the Swift Air 14 is powered by up to an Intel Core 7 processor 350, paired with up to 12GB onboard LPDDR5 RAM, and a 512GB SSD.
And better yet, Swift Air 14 is rated for up to 19 hours of battery life despite being so slim
And when it does need a top-up, fast charging can bring the battery to 50 per cent in 30 minutes. That combination could be particularly useful for anyone who regularly works or studies away from a power socket.
For productivity and entertainment, the Swift Air 14 comes with a 14-inch WUXGA display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100 per cent sRGB colour reproduction
The higher refresh rate is designed to provide smoother visuals, while full sRGB colour reproduction helps the display produce a wider range of accurate colours.
This makes the screen suitable for everything from everyday applications and browsing to viewing photos, videos, and other creative content. Audio is handled by a quad-speaker system with DTS Ultra, which delivers 3D spatial audio for streaming, music, video calls, and other content.
The laptop also puts some attention on video conferencing
Its 1080p IR camera works with Acer PurifiedView visual enhancements, while Acer PurifiedVoice uses AI-assisted noise cancellation to help deliver clearer video calls. The camera can also be used with Windows Hello facial recognition, giving users another way to sign into the laptop.
For an added layer of privacy, there's a physical camera privacy shutter that can be closed when the camera is not in use.
For wireless connectivity, the Swift Air 14 supports Intel Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Its selection of ports includes two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, and a USB Type-A port, allowing users to connect commonly used accessories, and devices without relying entirely on wireless connections.
The laptop is available in four colours: Sage Green, Frost Blue, Blossom Pink and Lilac Purple
The Acer Swift Air 14 is available immediately through authorised Acer resellers, and the Acer eStore, with prices starting from RM2,999. It also comes with a two-year warranty, including a first-year International Travelers Warranty.
For its launch, the first 1,000 units sold will come with complimentary gifts worth RM670.
The bundle includes an Acer SuperCare 2 Extended Warranty, an Acer HyperScrolling Mouse, and a limited-edition Acer Swift Sip Tumbler.
