Uber's Food Delivery App UberEATS Is Now Available In Malaysia

There are currently over 200 restaurants available on the food delivery app.

Ride-sharing app Uber has officially launched its stand-alone food delivery app UberEATS in Malaysia today

UberEATS, currently available in 100 other cities around the world, aims to offer quick and convenient food delivery service to its users

Speaking at the launch of the food delivery app, Shri Chakravarthy Gopalakrishnan, General Manager of UberEATS, says, "We are bringing consumers, restaurant-partners, and delivery-partners together in a digital marketplace celebrating Malaysia's great cuisine and love for food. Using the power of Uber's technology, we are going to help Malaysians enjoy the food they want, right now - at the touch of a button."

Areas currently served by UberEATS include KL city centre, Bangsar, and Damansara Heights, with plans in motion to expand their coverage areas

The app currently hosts more than 200 restaurants, offering a wide range of cuisine from favourite local eats to Western classics. Notable operators include Kayu Nasi Kandar, Baba Low's, Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa, Inside Scoop, and Mikey's Pizza.

You can now have Baba Low's Nyonya Laksa at the touch of a button.

The food delivery service is available from 9am to 12am daily.

Both halal and non-halal restaurants are available on the app, and UberEATS works closely with JAKIM to ensure that their halal items are delivered according to the set guidelines

Halal food items are packed and sealed separately from non-halal items to ensure that they are fit for consumption by their Muslim users.
