Volvo Malaysia has launched its all-electric seven-seater SUV, the Volvo EX90
Assembled locally in Shah Alam, the new flagship model enters the Malaysian market with a starting price of RM428,888 on the road without insurance.
Early buyers can enjoy special perks, with the first 100 bookings receiving an RM25,000 cash rebate along with a free Volvo Wallbox home charger worth RM3,990.

Under the hood, the flagship SUV packs cutting-edge tech
The EX90 uses an upgraded 800-volt charging system paired with a Twin Motor All-Wheel Drive setup.
The dual electric motors produce a massive 680hp and 870Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds, putting it firmly in sports car territory.
A 106kWh battery gives the car a driving range of up to 617km on a single charge. When plugged into a 350kW fast charger, the battery charges from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes.

Volvo is a brand with synonymous with safety
Safety features remain central to the new EX90 through Volvo's Safe Space Technology suite.
The setup uses radar sensors and external cameras to track traffic. Inside the cabin, two infrared sensors track driver eye movement to spot signs of tiredness or distraction.

Meanwhile, small cabin radars can detect tiny movements, such as the soft breathing of a child or pet, to prevent anyone from being left behind in a parked car.
A main core computer powered by NVIDIA handles key car systems, including active safety features and battery management
The SUV also receives regular over-the-air software updates to improve performance over time.
Inside, the cabin features a large 14.5-inch touch screen with built-in Google Maps and apps, a 9-inch driver display, a head-up display, and a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Alongside the EX90, Volvo Malaysia announced updates for its ES90 electric saloon
The sedan gets new paint options and interior themes, with early-bird rebates of up to RM17,600 for early orders. Bookings are now open for interested buyers.
