In this day and age, video calls are pretty much a standard way of communication, especially if you're far apart from families and friends

And popular messaging app WhatsApp is one of the most common ways that Malaysians conduct video calls. Additionally, WhatsApp is looking to enhance this feature even more for their users.

On 26 September, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, announced that they're rolling out a feature named 'Call Links' on WhatsApp that will allow users to join ongoing calls with just a tap

Users will find the option to 'Create call link' under the 'Calls' tab. After the link is created, they will be able to pass it around to family and friends.

Keep in mind that the link will expire after 90 days of inactivity, TechCrunch reports.

According to Mark's post, they will also be testing secure encrypted video calling that can include up to 32 people

Sounds like you can have a whole family reunion through WhatsApp now. :p

The 'Call Links' feature is set to debut sometime this week, so keep an eye out for updates!
