Singaporean beverage line MAD Foods officially launched a range of 100% plant-based and dairy-free cold brew coffee drinks in Malaysia yesterday, 14 September

According to the founders of MAD Foods, Angelique Teo and Bobby Randhawa, MAD aims to offer a healthier alternative to regular canned coffees, which are typically higher in sugar, as well as cater to those who are lactose intolerant.

Using plant-based ingredients to create their newest line of cold brew coffees, all MAD products are entirely plant-based and free from soy, dairy, and nuts. All three beverages in this line contain oat milk and do not have any added sugar.

Taking their message a step further, the products are packaged in BPA and plastic-free aluminium cans, as the brand aims to to impact the environment as little as possible.

While the coffee line was officially launched in Malaysia yesterday, 14 September, at 7-Eleven Café in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Teo and Randhawa stated that the items have been in outlets throughout Peninsular Malaysia since June.

Currently, there are three 240ml variants that are available in Malaysia — Decaf, Single Shot, and Double Shot

Each drink even has an associated character, to give them their own unique personalities.

Maya, who is orange in colour and represents Decaf, is described as more relaxed in nature, and enjoys her decaf fix before going to bed.

Miles, who is purple in colour and represents the Single Shot, is said to take his beverage as an afternoon boost.

Max, who is blue in colour and represents the Double Shot, is described as a morning person who needs his can as soon as he rises.
