This Note Left By The Boy In Tahfiz Abuse Case Reveals What Happened To Him In School
11-year-old Mohamad Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi died at 2.05pm on 26 April.
The passing of an 11-year-old boy abused boy from a top Tahfiz school is being mourned by Malaysians since yesterday, 26 April
Mohamad Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi underwent double amputation of the legs after a viral infection and was scheduled to have his right arm amputated yesterday morning, but his tragic experience ended when he passed away at 2.05pm.
Thaqif had sustained serious injuries on his legs as he was being allegedly abused by an assistant warden in the religious school he attended in Kota Tinggi, Johor.
The 29-year-old suspect had reportedly whipped Thaqif and 14 other students using a rubber pipe hose as punishment. The warden has been remanded until Saturday, while Thafiq's remains were laid to rest this morning, 27 April.
According to media reports, the police have classified the case as murder.
As condolences and heartfelt sympathies poured in, one of the diary notes left by Thaqif has surfaced on social media. It was his cry for help shortly before the incident occurred.
This is his note, translated from Malay:
"Today is a Monday, I don't think this MTAJ (Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Jauhar) is fun. Tomorrow is a Tuesday, and I would have been here for 42 days. Tomorrow, I want to call my mother. I want to tell her that I want to move away because yesterday I was punched. For no reason.
He told me to wash the tray but it wasn't my turn, but he kept forcing me to. I washed my cup. After I washed my cup and wanted to put it down, he punched my bum.
I can't stand it anymore. O Allah, please open my parents', Ustaz Afdol's, and Sheikh Fahmi's hearts. Hopefully, they will allow me to leave tomorrow. O You, who are Most Forgiving and All-Knowing One.
O Allah, please open my parents', Ustaz Afdol's and Sheikh Fahmi's hearts to allow my transfer tomorrow. Please grant me my wish, O Allah. Amin."

"Hari ni, hari Isnin, saya rasa di mtaj ni tak seronok sangat. Besok hari selasa, saya dah 42 hari besok saya nak coll mak saya. Saya nak cakap nak pindah kerana semalam saya kena tumbuk. Tanpa sebab. Dia suruh saya basuh talam tapi bukan ten saya. Pastu dia paksa-paksa saya. Pastu saya basuh cawan selepas saya basuh cawan saya nak letak cawan. Pastu dia terus tumbuk saya di punggung saya tak leh tahan lagi lah.
Ya Allah bukakanlah hati mak bapa ku dan ustaz afdol dan sheikh Fahmi. Harap-harap mereka semua mengizinkan saya pindah besok, wahai yang maha penyatun dan mengetahui keadaan makhluknya. Ya Allah tolonglah bukakanlah hati bapa ku dan ustaz afdol dan sheikh fahmi untuk mengizinkan aku pindah besok tolong makbulkan doaku Ya Allah. Amin."
Thaqif's father, Mohd Gaddafi Mat Karim, also found pieces of notes that were pasted on the boy's personal al-Quran
One of the notes was about Thaqif's ambition. The tahfiz student wrote about his personal ambition, on how he wanted to become a Huffaz (Hafiz), a person who has memorised the Quran completely.
"I want to become a Huffaz in two years. I am sure that I can. You can do it, Thaqif," one of the notes read.
It is believed that these notes were written when he just registered to study at the religious school last January.
It was reported that Mohd Gaddafi had handed the notes to UMNO Youth executive council member Dazma Shah Daud when the latter visited his son in the hospital yesterday.
