You'll never figure out who the killer is... or will you?

You see… but do you observe?

An intriguing whodunnit is not only a challenge for your sleuthing and deduction skills; it also tests your attention to detail. Is the helpful butler hiding a dark secret? Surely the graceful socialite is too dainty to — gasp! — stab her husband seven times in the chest?

The game is afoot even if you're just sitting on your couch watching the investigation unfold.

See if you can unpeel the layers and crack the case before the characters do in these murder mystery films:

The name’s Blanc. Benoit Blanc.

Returning to the role of gentleman sleuth Benoit Blanc, Daniel Craig trades shaken martinis for a poolside cocktail in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, this time as part of a VVIP guest list to a getaway on a private Greek island owned by tech gajillionaire Miles Bron. He soon meets a distinctly disparate group of individuals in Miles’ inner circle, each harbouring their own secrets, lies, and motivations. Naturally, when someone turns up dead, everyone is a suspect.

Returning to the franchise he began, writer and director Rian Johnson assembles another all-star cast that includes a returning Daniel Craig alongside Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery premieres 23 December, only on Netflix.

Before we unpeel the layers of Benoit Blanc's upcoming case, let's go back to where it began — in Rian Johnson's 2019 whodun-hit Knives Out, Blanc is mysteriously hired to investigate the death of renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) amid the tangled web of secrets and lies surrounding his dysfunctional family.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, the film also features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Chris Evans' cable knit sweater.

Yep, this is super on the nose, but of course we're gonna include a film that is literally called Murder Mystery in a list of murder mysteries. ;)

A long-promised trip to Europe turns into a bumbling race against time to prove their innocence when NYC cop Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) and his wife Audrey (Jennifer Aniston) find themselves embroiled in the murder of an elderly billionaire. Entirely out of their element, the couple must find the actual killer among the colourful cast of suspects before the authorities catch up.

The hilarious pair will also be reprising their roles for a sequel, so stay tuned for more updates!

Fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) follows in the footsteps of her famous brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and takes on her first job as a detective-for-hire — to find a penniless matchstick girl's missing sister.

However, the case proves to be far more complicated — and dangerous — than expected, as Enola is thrown into the seedy world of London's sinister factories and colourful music halls, to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street itself. As her investigation threatens to expose a deadly conspiracy, Enola must call upon the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel the mystery.

Now here's an interesting premise — in Murderville, the celebrity guests are as clueless about the case as the viewers at home!

For Senior Detective Terry Seattle, every day means a new murder case and a new celebrity guest star as his partner. But here's the catch — the guest stars don't get scripts and have no idea what's about to happen to them. This time around, Christmas is at stake when Santa is found murdered, and it's up to Terry and his two celebrity guests stars — Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph — to improvise their way through the case and find the killer. This special feature of Murderville is currently streaming on Netflix.

Think you have what it takes to be a detective? Get those brains workin' and catch these murder mystery films on Netflix!
