Cinker Pictures is a retro-style, innovative film and entertainment brand that originated in Beijing, inspired by the historic screening houses of New York and London.
Now, at its latest branch in Chengdu, the cinema has unveiled an exclusive hot pot hall for movie buffs to enjoy a cosy, hearty meal, as if they are in the comfort of their own homes.
Photos and videos of the unique cinematic experience, that's said to be the first of its kind in China, has recently set social media abuzz.

However, the new movie experience has received mixed reactions online
While some people think it's a brilliant concept, others were not as thrilled by the idea, citing issues like having to hear the sound of people chewing during the movie and the smells of the food wafting through the air.
