Dr Jezamine Lim & Harith Iskander Are Officially Divorced
The couple's divorce application was granted today, 25 July.
Comedian Harith Iskander and Dr Jezamine Lim have officially divorced at the Syariah Lower Court in Kuala Lumpur today, 25 July
The couple divorced with a single pronouncement of talak in front of Syarie Judge Siti Noraini Mohd Ali, after the former couple arrived in separate black MPVs but walked into the courtroom together.
The mutual divorce application was allowed by the court at 12.05pm.
According to their lawyer, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, the couple had filed two applications, one for divorce and one for alimony, with both being resolved at the same time.
"However, the application for custody will be held next week," the New Straits Times quoted the lawyer as saying.
This is because the application needs to be endorsed by the Syariah High Court.

While the reason for the divorce was irreconcilable differences, Jezamine shared that Harith "is still my best friend" and that they would maintain a good relationship for the sake of their children
She said that Harith admitted to his mistakes and asked everyone to respect him for that.
"What is important is, we forgive and forget and move on," she added.
Meanwhile, Harith shared that they had been trying to save the marriage for a long time.
"We had done everything and separation was the last resort. Which marriage has no problems? If you think of problems as a cause of divorce, that's not good either. Every relationship has different problems, how big the problem is will lead to bad things," Harith admitted while speaking to Berita Harian.
According to the stand-up comedian, they are still friends for the sake of the children.
"We have arrived at a stage where we have agreed on all aspects of this divorce. We will continue our work as usual. We have a company that needs to be taken care of.
"Only in terms of our relationship [as a married couple], we are no longer husband and wife, but our relationship as friends and business partners is still good," he added.
Earlier, Harith's revelation that he had "done many stupid things that many men do" led to rumours of him cheating on Jezamine
However, when asked about the accusation of cheating, Harith declined to comment on the matter.
"As explained in the previous video, there is no need to revive it again," he said.
The 58-year-old was referring to his interview with Daphne Iking, which was posted on The Rakyat Post's YouTube channel last week, where he admitted that his personal shortcomings are the primary cause for his divorce with Jezamine.
"I screwed up and over the years I made a lot of mistakes. I'm a guy, I'm an idiot. I have acted in ways I should not have. I'm not going to point out what I did or did not do," he said.
