GSC made the announcement on the company's official social media accounts today, 20 March.
The cinema said that both outlets will host their last screenings on 31 March, and will officially cease operations on 1 April.
"It's been an incredible ride and a pleasure to serve you. We cannot express enough gratitude for your unwavering support and enthusiasm over these years," the statement reads.
To catch the most-anticipated movies on the big screen, GSC said that the public can visit GSC Setia City and GSC IOI Mall Kulai, the outlets closest to the ones that are shutting down, instead.
Just a few weeks earlier on 7 March, GSC announced the closure of its branch at 3 Damansara Mall
In fact, the outlet's last screening was just a couple of days ago on 18 March.
Following these two announcements, netizens wondered if cinemas may be losing its demand and popularity due to streaming services.
